International Women’s Day is this Friday. It is a day that celebrates women’s achievements and raises awareness against gender bias. This year’s theme is #BalanceforBetter – how can we help to forge a more gender-balanced world? Here is how we are addressing the balance at Suntrix.
A study by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency found women comprise only 6% of key management personnel in the energy sector despite making up over 20% off the workforce.
Not so at Suntrix – half of our leadership team is female and we think that is worth celebrating! With initiatives like the Clean Energy Council’s Women in Renewables program, we hope to see more businesses following suit – enabling and championing women working in the renewable energy industry.
Meet our fabulous female executives leading the way in creating a better and cleaner energy future:
Jenny Paradiso, Managing Director and Co-founder
Jenny started the business in 2009, won the Telstra Business Women’s Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2016 and serves on the Board of Directors for the Clean Energy Council and the Entrepreneurs Advisory Board. In her spare time, she enjoys running and hanging out with her kids.
Noon McNamara, General Manager
Noon joined the Suntrix team in 2018. She is a highly motivated, results orientated executive with many years’ experience supporting businesses to achieve their short and long-term strategic goals. Noon enjoys a round of golf from time to time and is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Hutt Street Centre.
Colette Smith, Sales Manager
Director of Revenue By Design, Colette works for Suntrix on a consultative basis, managing the sales team in South Australia. She has over 25 years’ experience in sales and marketing roles; and serves on the Board of Directors at Arthritis Australia.
Tracey Shipway, Services Manager
Our favourite gym junky, Tracey joined Suntrix in 2014 and is the longest serving member of the management team. She holds a diploma in business management and heads up our passionate and dedicated Customer Care team. Tracey is a member of NECA’s Industry Advisory Group.
Kate Harmer, Marketing Coordinator
Kate is an experienced multi-disciplined marketing professional who has worked for Suntrix since 2016. She is a recreational ballroom dancer, foster carer and volunteers her time on the Board at the not-for-profit organisation, Connecting Foster & Kinship Carers SA.
