We are currently installing a 40kW solar system on a new building in Cremorne, Melbourne for the job search firm, SEEK.
The unique architecture of the building required some “out-of-the-box” thinking to mount the required number of SunPower Maxeon 390W panels. An innovative solution was found – the panels are mounted onto purpose-built pods and then craned into position on the building. There are 26 pods in total, each consisting of 4 panels. 21 bays will go on the North East roof and the remainder on the South East roof.
Here are some of the photos from the first stage of the install.
Solar energy production is estimated at 50,564 kWh/year; generating a yearly saving on electricity bills of around $10K. Over its lifetime the system is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1118 tonnes.
We cannot wait to see the finished project!
