Helping a school in Zimbabwe get solar

Tim Noonan at Suntrix warehouse

We had Tim Noonan from Channel 7 at our warehouse in Adelaide this morning. The crew were filming Kennedy Mavunganidze from the Lions Club of Angle Vale picking up 9 pallets of used solar panels including 7 panels that were removed from Tim’s property yesterday.

The donation by Suntrix and Tim is for a project that Kennedy is leading to get reliable power supplied to a school located in a remote community of Zimbabwe. At the moment, Mumbijo Primary School is not connected to the electricity grid, a status that is unlikely to change anytime soon. The Lions Club want to provide the school with an off-grind solar solution; and the panels are the first step in realising this.

The Lions Club of Angle Vale, is seeking financial and hardware support towards this project; and they have opened a specific bank account for donations. If you would like to help, please contact the club directly on 0416 452 925 or email:
