SOUTH Australian solar company Suntrix has installed a 70kW system at Fleurieu Milk and Yoghurt Company, covering about 57 per cent of its annual power needs.
Suntrix managing director Jenny Paradiso said the system produced 102,000kWh a year. “Fleurieu Milk and Yoghurt
Company have got quite a large electricity bill because of the type of work that they do and they were interesting in bringing it down as much as possible,” she said.
She said the system would help save the business thousands of dollars a year. Suntrix had also recently completed major projects at
Centennial Park, SA Mushrooms and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Ms Paradiso said there had been many shonky solar providers who had left people concerned about using the
systems. “We talk to people every day and they are just burned and don’t know who to trust,”
Ms Paradiso said. “People interested in solar often don’t know who to believe. Installing solar is very different to installing something like a hot water system.”
