Telstra Business Awards contenders Suntrix, We Create Brands and Syntronics are this week celebrating making the finals in the prestigious program.
Now in its fourth year, Adelaide solar firm Suntrix employs 22 people and is looking to double its commercial business as a means of building a long-term South Australian company.
“We work very hard on providing stellar customer service and doing the right thing by our customers on every occasion,” says Director, Jenny Paradiso. “Innovation is really important to us – we have designed a number of products in-house – so that gives us a competitive advantage, and we also get to see the products in our wholesale division.”
Suntrix will compete for the title of South Australian business of the year at the Telstra Business Awards State Final on Friday 26 July. A total prize pool of more than $500,000 is split among state, territory and national winners and national business champions are announced in Sydney on 22 August.
Electronics innovator Synotronics is a Telstra awards finalist for the second year in a row, in the Micro-Business Category.
Synotronics has had a successful year, expanding its premises, growing its team and posting 104% revenue growth in the last two years. The company launched a new brand and hit a milestone of servicing more than 14,000 customers Australia wide since 2007.
MD Tyson Grubb has managed to grow the Adelaide based company consistently over the past six years. Synotronics Pty Ltd trades as Instrument Choice, Battery Choice and Scientific Choice and offers scientific and environmental test equipment, batteries and laboratory equipment.
Synotronics has a “3 Business Hour Response” policy, where its team is committed to replying to customers enquiries within a 3 business hour time frame.
Synotronics recently implemented a Test and Measurement Recycling program where the company will recycle any faulty or old test and measurement equipment free of charge. The items don’t have to be purchased from Synotronics.
Adelaide-based branding, digital and graphic design studio, We Create Brands is also a finalist for a second year running, in the Micro-Business Award category.
“We are very excited to be named as finalist in the awards again,” said Managing Director, Carrie Buckle. “Last year we were finalists in the Start-Up category, and we are honoured to be named finalists in the Micro-Business category.
We Create Brands was established in 2009 by Carrie Buckle and Astrid Varga, after experiencing a first-hand lack of branding services available to businesses. The boutique branding, digital and graphic design studio was established with the mission of helping businesses achieve a competitive edge, win more customers and ultimately grow into profitable brands.
We Create Brands offers a full range of services, from brand strategy to logo and website design. Continued client growth has enabled the business to reach its 2015 goal of opening a full-time studio in the heart of Adelaide in April this year.
“As business owners you can’t be scared of change; you need to evolve and adapt your business to the market, never stop learning and never give up,” Carrie says.
