Adelaide solar firm Suntrix has been named as one of South Australia’s top businesses in this year’s Telstra Business Awards.
Now in its fourth year, Suntrix employs 22 people and is looking to double its commercial business as a means of building a long-term South Australian company.
Director Jenny Paradiso said being named one of the state finalists for the Telstra Business Awards showed the company was on the right track.
“We work very hard on providing stellar customer service and doing the right thing by our customers on every occasion,” Ms Paradiso said.
“Hence we have a good reputation in the market, both with our customers and our competitors too.”
The business idea was sparked when Ms Paradiso and partner David Hille found a lack of good quality and affordable service providers in the solar industry.
“We decided to source the panels ourselves and also started installing for family and friends,” she said.
“Innovation is really important to us – we have designed a number of products in-house – so that gives us a competitive advantage, and we also get to see the products in our wholesale division.”
Suntrix will compete for the title of South Australian business of the year at the Telstra Business Awards State Final on Friday July 26. A total prize pool of more than $500,000 is split among state, territory and national winners and national business champions are announced in Sydney on August 22.
